Quick Setup Information
SMTP Server = mail.rocketserv.com
Pop3 Server = mail.rocketserv.com
login name = “The email name you supplied”
Password = “password you were emailed”
Email Address = “The email name you supplied”@rocketserv.com
Lets give an example to better explain this. We have a Rocketserv.com customer named Ronnie Jones and her email address is rjones@rocketserv.com. After Ronnie had signed up on Rocketserv her welcome email contained her password which was “rj9987”. Ronnie has full control of changing this password however she has not done so at this time. Ronnie is using Microsoft’s Outlook Express as her email client and she needs to setup an “Account” within Outlook Express to receive her email from Rocketserv. She proceeds to the new account screen and she is posed with a screen asking her for her email address (which is rjones@rocketserv.com), for her SMTP server address (which she enters “mail.rocketserv.com”). Ronnie also finds an area to input her Pop3 server name (which she enters “mail.rocketserv.com”) an area for her account login name (which she enters “rjones” - please take note she only enters “rjones” not “rjones@rocketserv.com”). Ronnie finishes by entering her password that was emailed to her from the Rocketserv website (Ronnie enters “rj9987”). Ronnie next selects the apply and ok buttons and thats it. Ronnie clicks on the send / receive button at the top of her screen and away she goes - shes getting email already.
The example above refrences Microsoft Outlook Express, however the setup instructions for most email applications is the same. Every email application will ask for the above pieces of information.
